Maps+Globes Workshop (w/Lego world map giveaway)

The TGA is partnering with DISCOVERY PARK OF AMERICA and HUMANITIES TENNESSEE for a special teacher workshop based on the upcoming exhibit: “The Fascinating World of Murray Hudson’s Globes and Maps” which opens on Dec. 2, 2021, and will be on display through March 1, 2022. The exhibit will include examples of vintage globes and maps from different eras that reflect what the world was like at the point in time in history when they were produced.

This workshop will incorporate various hands-on activities that students will enjoy doing in the classroom to enhance their geographic understanding of map and globe making.

The day will be mostly geared to 3-7 grade social studies courses.

When: Saturday, December 4, 2021 10:00am-4:00pm CST
Cost: FREE! Special thanks to Humanities Tennessee for providing the funds to provide this workshop for Tennessee teachers.
