How we can effectively use technology in classrooms
Say goodbye to chalkboards!
Technological advances in recent years have made it easy and beneficial for schools to begin using technology as a way to help educate students. Read more to find out how your child can use technology to better their education! I believe that it is pertinent that high school students are using technology daily in their studies to further their studies both inside the classroom and outside as a supplemental study tool. Below you will find a few of my favorite technological teaching and study tools.
Google Drives
Google Drives are apps created by Google that allow students to share information and media with each other. They are beneficial to learning because they allow students to collaborate on projects and share ideas. High school is a time when group projects and presentations are prevalent, so this tool is great for allowing students to communicate even while they are not physically together in a room. Google Drives allow students to create documents, spreadsheets, slideshows and even surveys.
Quizlet
Quizlet is an exceptional studying and learning tool that eliminates the need for index cards. It is an online source that allows you to create virtual note cards to study definitions, ideas or anything really. The site allows you the cards by side at your pace, or it will also test you based on the information on your cards. You can even play memory games!
Infographics
In a time when technology is becoming such a firsthand learning tool, infographics have become a great way to organize data and present it to a class or group of people. An infographic is a way to take a large amount of information and use pictures and color to design a graphic to display it. Picktochart is one of many easy to use sites that helps students create infographics to present data in a visually pleasing and easy to follow manner.
