Principal's Message
Happy New Year Cubs
So nice to have everyone back in the building and returning our focus to the main thing which is teaching and learning.
Obviously this rapid surge of COVID-19 cases is impacting the ability of many schools to operate however we are in very good shape in comparison to schools around the district and the nation.
Overall about 7% (at the elementary level) of teachers are out and the average daily attendance for schools (at the elementary level) today was hovering at 81%. In comparison we only have one current staff member out (returning tomorrow) and our attendance rate today was very close to 92%.
Please reference the attached COVID notification letter for your information. Also know that the health department has been clearly overwhelmed which is why you have seen inconsistent (as far as timing) reporting across schools in the area.
We have an amazing community of teachers and support staff that have done an OUTSTANDING job since we have returned and have gone above and beyond once again.
This is what happens when you get to pick your team!!!
Thank you for your support as we navigate 2022.

MAP Testing Update
We will be testing on Wednesday and Thursday. I am unclear as to whether the window will be extended to accommodate students that are home recovering from illness. While this testing is important, what is more important is your health and well-being ... please keep kids home if they are not feeling well.
Picture Retakes
Picture Retake Day is the morning of Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
If you would like your child's picture retaken, please send the original picture package you ordered with you child on the 19th to return to the photographer. If your child did not have their picture taken in the fall, please let your teacher know they need to have their picture taken. The fall pictures are used for the yearbook.
