About Eric Legrand
Eric Legrand was a defiensive tackle for Rutgers University. He played there from 2008-2010, when his season, and career, were dramatically cut short. While playing, Legrand's speed and size allowed him to cut off running backs, but also flatten quarterbacks. His skills were a huge asset to the team. This all ended during the sixth week of his junior season, during a game against Army.

All About His Injury
October 16, 2012
Towards the end of the game, Eric Legrand set his position on the kickoff team, as he had done countless times before. He sprinted down field to pursue the returner, and on the tackle his head was hit. He suffered a spinal cord injury. He laid on the ground, stunned. He did not know what had happened, but he could not get up. He could not breathe. His coach told him to pray and then he blacked out.
