LIS Tiger Talk
December 16, 2022
Principal's Update
Tiger Families,
It is extremely difficult for me to believe it's already the end of the second quarter, marking the halfway point of the 2022-2023 school year. The past few weeks have been busy with positive happenings everywhere I turned. It was wonderful to watch our 6th grade music concerts. Our amazing PTSA treated students to hot chocolate at lunch on Thursday. Our Top Notch Tigers for December were recognized during lunch today. So many Tigers participated in our December Spirit Days.
Thanks to all of our students who participated in the Spelling Bee. Congratulations to Mazzie Huy for winning our LIS Spelling Bee!
As the 2022 comes to a close, I would like to personally thank you for sharing your students with us each day. Although busy and sometimes challenging, we are so thankful for the opportunity to have an impact on our Tigers. We hope you can take some time to relax, make memories and enjoy the holidays with friends and family.
Happy Holidays! Happy New Year! Go Tigers!

2022 Pass It On Food Drive
Attention Loveland Families~
Because of you we had a very successful 21st Annual Pass It On Food Drive! While partnering with the L.I.F.E Food Pantry, our food drive collected enough items to serve 250 families right here in our community. We were able to provide all items needed for the Thanksgiving meals and the holiday boxes. The food items were collected from Loveland students starting from Preschool age through our 8th graders. From collecting, sorting, organizing, counting, and walking the items to Prince of Peach Church from the LIS/LMS campus, everyone had a hand in making this food drive a success. We can’t thank you all enough for your help! We would also like to thank our Loveland Businesses that jumped in to support this cause. BF Realty, Lemons and Limes, Loveland Pediatric Dentistry and The Gielau Family.
Thank you for your love and support to our community. Our students truly put the LOVE in Loveland.
We wish everyone a wonderful, happy and healthy holiday season!
Until next year,
Ashley Nellis, Julie Weast and Penny Dippold
