Halloween + Dia de los Muertos @ DW Next Friday

Daniel Webster will have a schoolwide Halloween + Dia de los Muertos celebration next Friday morning, October 29th. If your child is planning on wearing a costume that day, please have them come to school wearing the costume. There will not be time for them to change into the costume in the morning


  • 8:30-8:45: students and teachers assemble on the yard (Students & staff only)
  • 8:45-9:10: DW Halloween parade down 20th street [from Missouri street to Arkansas street and back]. *parents are welcome to hi five students and say hello anywhere on 20th*
  • 9:10-9:30: School-wide Halloween dance off & costume fashion show on the yard (Students & staff only)
  • 1:00-2:00: Classroom Halloween & Dia de los muertos celebrations

*Parents are encouraged to join the Halloween + Dia de los Muertos celebrations during our PTA sponsored event that evening, Pasta Under The Stars, at 6 pm (see information below)

Join the PTA next Friday, October 29th from 6-8 pm on the Daniel Webster yard for their first school-wide fundraiser event. More details below.

New Updates

Bake Sale Next Tuesday at 2 pm on Missouri Street

Girls on the Run are having a fundraiser near the front entrance on Missouri Street on Tuesday, October 26th at 2 pm. Come by and buy some baked goods to support scholarships for Girls on the Run!

Virtual Enrollment Fair next Tuesday

Know of anyone interested in sending their kids to Daniel Webster next year? 5th grade parents, sending your kids to Middle School next year? SFUSD is hosting a series of Virtual Enrollment Fair sessions from Oct 22-29. View more information here

Daniel Webster will be hosting 3 Enrollment Fair Sessions through SFUSD on zoom on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm to give interested families some information about the school. Zoom link here

COVID Safety Measures [Updated]

We are committed to keeping our students and staff as safe as possible. This means we will

  • Maximize physical distance between students for a sustained amount of time as much as possible when indoors
  • Keep all windows and doors open to maximize classroom ventilation
  • Continue with outdoor lunch, PE & Recess
  • Continue enforcing a strict mask policy inside the building
