A Message from Mrs. Zagala
I hope that you and your families have been doing well as we enter the month of October. On Friday we recognized our Pillars of Respect with a special breakfast in their honor. Each month two students from each class will be recognized for the Pillars of Character. At the end of October we will recognize the Pillars of Trustworthiness. I have linked a video below for you to preview about the Pillar of Trustworthiness.
This Friday we also celebrated Custodial Appreciation Day. I would like to thank our amazing Custodial Team Ms. Dora (Head Custodian), Mr. Rex (Assistant Head Custodian), Mr. Jacob (Day Custodian) and Ms. Lilly (Afternoon Custodian) for all of their hard work keeping our school clean and safe for our students and staff.
Thank you for all that you do and we look forward to another amazing week!

Reminders about Dismissal
-If you are picking up your child by car, please make sure that you have the yellow car hanger visible in the front window. If you need a new hanger please ask the front office and we would be happy to get you one.
-Please remember to move all the way forward before loading your child. This helps with the flow of traffic.
-We ask that you use the crosswalk.
-If you are waiting at the bike rack for your child, please do NOT park in the bus loop. The bus loop is intended specifically for buses and cars parked in the loop prevent our bus drivers from picking up our bus rider safely.
-Please arrive to pick up your child by 3:25 PM. The staff's work day ends at 3:25 PM, after that time there is not any staff available to monitor students.
World Teachers' Day: October 5, 2021
To celebrate this day, we invite all of our Allen Eagles to show their support for all teachers around the world by wearing the color BLUE on Tuesday, October 5th.
Jerry D. Allen Elementary PTA Fundraiser: October 4-15th
Your support is needed as we begin our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser. Our PTA will use the funds collected to help pay for field trips and special events such as Fiesta, Western Day, Reading Carnival, etc. This year we are encouraging each student to sell at least 10 World’s Finest Chocolate bars; each bar is only $1, for a total of $10. If you would like to help us raise money for our school please sign and return the permission that will be sent home this week. When we receive the signed permission slip we will send home the10 chocolate bars with your child or you can arrange to pick them up. Once you have sold the 10 chocolate bars please turn in the $10 cash. If you would like more chocolate bars please complete another permission slip. Chocolates will not be sent home without a signed permission slip to ensure the child has permission to participate. Please note that any unsold chocolates may not be returned.
PRIZES
Your child will receive one entry for every $10 sold.
A drawing will be held for prizes to include: Principal for the Day, Associate Principal for the Day, Giant World’s Finest Chocolate Bar, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Sellers
