My Mt. Rushmore

Facts about Mt. Rushmore

What faces would I put on my Mount Rushmore? Here’s what I already know: The faces of former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are on the memorial. It was designed by Gutzon Borglum. Mount Rushmore is located near Keystone, South Dakota. It was finished in 1941. If I could design my own Mount Rushmore, the faces of the following people who are important to me, would be carved in the granite: my Mom, my Dad, my best friend Bailey, and my step dad Kevin.

First Person : Alicia N.

The first person I would put on my Mt. Rushmore would be my mom, Alicia. She taught me how to pitch correctly. Now I can see the strike zone better. She also takes time to look at my grades. She is always proud of me.

Second Person : Nick Z.

I would love to put another person on my Mt. Rushmore. That would be my dad, Nick Ziemba. He's always been there cheering for me. Once I hit a double in softball and he cheered really loud. We are always doing fun things with him. Last year we went sledding and went swimming at Island Oasis.

Third Person : Bailey R

It would be so cool to put my best friend, Bailey Robinson, on Mt. Rushmore. She's always pushing me to new limits. She convinced me to try basketball. I love it! She is also always by my side. When I want to practice pitching, she always wants to catch for me. She's a good friend.

Last Person : Kevin N.

The last person I would put on my Mt. Rushmore would be my step-dad, Kevin Nacol. He corrects my mistakes and shows me the correct way. He has always corrected my math worksheets, and if they're wrong he shows me the correct way. He's always encouraged me to do my best, too. In basketball he encourages me to do my shooting correctly.

In the end...

In the end you learned how these people are important to me. All of the reasons are special. I hope one day I’ll have my own Mt.Rushmore, and hope all the people that go and see the real Mt.Rushmore go and see mine. Thanks for reading!
