June 2019: Issue 1: Volume 1
Welcome to our new digital newsletter! At the end of 2018 KDA stopped producing our newsletter, so going forward you will receive a newsletter via email and Facebook.
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer! As always please be mindful that children are everywhere - walking and riding. Parents, please take a moment to review proper street safety.
If you have not recently logged into the HOA's website or joined our Facebook page, please do so.
Prior to this pool season, the board had intended to replace the fence around the pool. Unfortunately, we had some delays due to installation options. We have consulted with an engineering firm and have a solid plan to move forward.
Our goal is to start in August. We will be replacing the entire fence around the pool which will not only improve to look but bring us up to current code. During this time, our hope would be to lower and extend the decking next to the pavilion.
Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with the pool rules prior to your visit. As always in the first part of summer there may be confusion on times and rules.
There has been a lot of discussion of us adding a sidewalk from the bridge to the pool for pedestrians to walk on. We are currently revisiting this project.
We are in the process of putting a committee together to update our playground area. If you would like to be a part of this, please let Rob Riley know.
Please make sure your dues are in by 6/10/2019 to avoid a 10% late charge and a $50.00 admin fee.

Treasurer's Report - May 2018 YTD vs May 2019 YTD
Courts one and two have been resurfaced and look great!! Plans for the summer: pressure wash the lower courts, order screens to replace the torn ones, line court three for pickle ball.
We had a GREAT turnout for the first annual Jim Kosciolek Memorial Day Round Robin. It was a beautiful day of tennis with friends, and we raised money for the Kosciolek memorial. We have several ideas that I will forward to Debbie and hope to have it completed by the end of summer. If you did not have a chance to donate, and still wish to, money can be dropped off at my house, 3376 Lombard Trace.
Please remember tennis only on the courts, empty the courtside bins after play, lower the umbrellas, and shut off the lights and fans when leaving.
My goal is to make the tennis area not just a great place to play and gather but a visual asset to the neighborhood, enhancing all our property values. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or suggestions. Hope to see you on the courts!
