All About Soccer By: Genesis Mayo
TOPIC: SOCCER

The Basics of Soccer:
Soccer is a sport where you don’t use your hands, but your feet. Soccer uses people’s feet to kick the ball to their teammates and score goals. People only use their feet to kick the ball. The only people that can use their hands are the goalies or when the ball is out- of- bounds.
Important Facts About the Game:
There are three positions in soccer: defenders, forwards, and midfielders.
You can use your head too when you have a corner kick, a free kick, or when the goalie kicks the ball.
My Favorite Players:
I chose these players because I think they’re good: Messi, Neymar, Neymar Jr. and Bravo all play for Barcelona.
Ronaldo, and Bale play for Real Madrid.
Pele plays for Brazil.
The Teams:
The teams are: Barcelona, Real Madrid, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Tigers, Chivas, America, and Chile.
All the teams play well in the World Cup because they are fast, and clever.
The World Cup:
The World Cup is a championship tournament for soccer that takes place every four years. Different countries take turns playing in their “liga”, or league in English.
Well, I hoped you learned about my favorite sport:

Claudio Bravo
Jorge Campos

Movie Reviews by Brandon Gongora
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Rated: PG-13
Score: 3 stars
Plot: There was this girl that was fighting bad guys. She and her partner wanted the bad guys to stop hurting people. There was a black robot and a blind guy that were helping them. But who were they actually fighting against? Watch this movie to find out the surprise enemy. I gave this movie three stars because it was a little sad, but I liked all the action.
Split
Rated: PG-13
Score: 5 stars
Plot: My favorite movie was Split because I like scary movies. It was about a guy that had split personalities. This means the person’s brain creates different identities with different names and character traits. One of his personalities turned into a beast that tried to eat teenage girls. Did he succeed? If scary movies don’t give you nightmares, you should go see Split.
The LEGO Batman Movie
Rated: PG
Score: 4 stars
Plot: I also saw The LEGO Batman Movie. I think it was a little sad because Batman had to go to the villains' place and make a robot and vehicles to escape. Batman had three partners. Batman and Joker became friends because the Joker helped Batman save Gotham. At the end, Batman became Robin's father. If you like to laugh, go see this movie!

Tornadoes and Hurricanes by: Genesis
Do you know the difference between tornadoes and hurricanes? Tornadoes start with a thunderstorm. A tornado can go more than 300 miles per hour. Tornadoes mostly happen in the United States of America, It’s in an area called the "Tornado Alley." If the place is flat like a grassland, there’s nothing stopping the tornado unless there’s a hill. Another name for a tornado is a Twister.
Hurricanes start in the tropical oceans. Water has to be above 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The name pattern is A to Z, girl, boy or boy, girl. Hurricanes start mostly near the equator. Hurricane winds go up to 175 miles per hour. Waves of a hurricane are 12 feet high.
Both are spinning storms. Another way they are the same is both are wind storms. Also, both happen in Spring and Summer. The last reason they are similar storms is they both have an eye. That's the part of the storm in the middle where it is calm and nothing is happening.
Can you see why they call the center of the hurricane "the EYE?"

Clubs At Hapeville Elementary By: Isaiah Chambers
Today I will tell you about some of the other clubs and what they do. You may be asking: “Why are you saying ‘other clubs?’ The answer is, I am in the Newspaper Club. There are a lot of clubs. Students need to be 3rd grade or older to join most clubs, but you can join the quilting club in 2nd. Here are three other clubs I have visited:
First I will tell you about the Athletics Club. Coach Stockdale is the head of the Athletics Club and they play volleyball, soccer and sometimes hockey. The Athletics Club is very popular because only a few students get in; there were too many kids that wanted to be in that club so he shortened it down a little bit.
Next I will tell you about the Chorus Club. The head of the Chorus Club is Ms. Goodwin, the music teacher. The chorus club sings “The World is Greatest.” The Chorus Club is important because it is the only club that gets to perform anything. The Chorus Club will perform at the end of the school year.
Last but not least is the Art Club. This club makes amazing crafts and it is very noisy and busy in there. I picked this club to visit because I like art and drawing. The two days I went there, the art club was making tie dye shirts and putting their faces in pictures from movies and famous artwork.
Those are some of the clubs and what they do! There are many clubs, so find the one that is right for you!

His Schooling:
When he was thirteen he went to New York Military Academy; he loved military school. He loved winning in sports like soccer, wrestling, football, and baseball. One of Trump’s brothers died because he drank a lot. His name was Fred Jr. Donald was the fourth child of five.

Ocean Animals: By: Amy Navarrete
Ocean Animals
What are some of my most favorite ocean animals?
Sharks:
A cookie-cutter is a type of shark. It’s the smallest shark. It glows in the darkness. A cookie cutter stabs its teeth into a large victim, attaching itself with sucking lips.
Have you heard about the huge MEGALODON? It’s larger than a whale shark. Whale sharks swim 30 feet and a MEGALODON swims 60 feet! Who knows if this monster is still around in the ocean? But …to be safe….do not go diving 60 feet deep.
Dolphins:
Dolphins seem to be the smartest animals. They eat tons of fish until their stomachs are full. Do dolphins sleep? No, they don’t sleep at all! Dolphins can communicate by whistling.
Whales:
A killer-whale is a dangerous animal. It can kill any animal, for example, a seal. It whistles to make a trap for the animal. One killer whale stays on one side and the others go to the other side. They make a huge wave and the killer whale eats it with the others.
A beluga whale is a sweet animal, like the dolphin. It sees things like a camera. This is called “eco-location.” The beluga whale makes a strange noise to show eco-location.
Swordfish:
A swordfish has a long nose like a sword. That nose or sword is their only protection. A swordfish looks like a long fish with its nose or sword. A swordfish can fight with other swordfish.
This is my list of ocean animals I find interesting.
I hope you enjoyed all these facts. Feel free to share these facts with everyone.
