e-Learning Days

As we have mentioned in Highlights and through Jupiter, we will be implementing eLearning days this school year in the event of a school closing due to weather. We will hold our practice day for middle school on Monday, November 25 and grades PK-5 on Tuesday, November 26. This practice will all be done during the school day, and will help prepare the students in the event we need to have an eLearning day this winter. Below is a link to our eLearning plan. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or the school office with any questions.

RONCALLI HOSTS EVENING PRESENTATION ON SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATION: DANGERS, SEXTORSION AND REAL LIFE PREDATORS


All parents are welcome to attend a presentation from Detective Darin Odier in the Roncalli Auditorium on Monday, December 2nd from 6:30-8:00 PM. Detective Odier has served our community as a police officer for 30 years and a Federal Task Force Officer with the FBI Child Exploitation unit for 13 years. His presentation will focus on social media applications and dangers, sextorsion and real life predators. Earlier that day, he will be presenting to Roncalli's freshman class. Please note that at his evening presentation, Detective Odier asks that no young children be present. While his talk does not include anything graphic, the subject matter is NOT for children.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD DRIVE

It’s time for the annual St. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving Food Drive! The food drive will run from November 1st to November 26th, and each grade level will focus on the following items (although you are free to donate any food item). We will need a total of 45 hams (each in its own bag), so if you would like to chip in with another family or simply donate money before November 19th, we will purchase hams to distribute to needy families. Thank you in advance for your generosity, and for making Christ Present in the World!

2019-20 Winter Jr. Lady Rebels Information


Registration for winter Jr. Rebels will be on Saturday, November 23rd from 1:00-2:30 PM for 4th and 5th Grades and from 2:45-4:15 for 6th, 7th and 8th players (who did not play in fall league) will need to be there to be evaluated. The participation for the Winter Indy Hoops League will cost $60.00 if you need a jersey and $50.00 if you do not need a jersey.


At least one parent will need to attend the sign-ups in order to make the payment, fill out paperwork and sign the IGHL release of liability form. Players will be evaluated on November 23rd and at the first two practices and then teams will be formed. Each team will practice once during the week and once on Saturday afternoon. Players get 2 games every other Sunday throughout the winter. Below is the Dates of Sunday Games by age group:


Game Dates for 7th & 8th Grade Only will be Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22nd

Game Dates for 4th Grade will be Dec. 1, 15th Jan. 12, 26, Feb. 9 and 16th for Tournament

Game Dates for 5th & 6th Grade will be Dec. 8, 22, Jan. 19, Feb. 2, 9 and 16th Tournament

REBEL WRESTLING FOUNDATION
Registration for elementary and middle school club wrestling is now open and you can sign-up at any time throughout the year. You can sign up during preseason practices on Tuesday and Thursday 4:15 - 5:30 PM and Sunday 7:00 - 8:00 PM at the Roncalli High School Wrestling Room. The youth wrestling season will start November 5, with practices on Tuesday and Thursday (Beginners 6:00 - 6:45 PM, Advanced 6:45 - 8:00 PM), and we will have a full competition schedule. Club and CYO wrestling schedules are coordinated together and compliment each other so our athletes can participate in both programs.
