Big picture

Welcome from Dr. Scott Sides, Head of School

I wanted to be among the first to greet you and welcome you to our school. By choosing Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA) you have chosen to be an active participant in your child's education this school year. We have exciting plans in place for supporting our students and are committed to a high level of academic achievement for all of ARVA students.

K12's Lifeline Schedule

K12 Online Clubs for Grades K-11

Here, like-minded students can share their interests even when they live in remote areas. Students throughout all of K12's schools come together a couple of times each month. Clubs such as photography, story time, and caring for animals allow students to share their interests together.

Success through Study Island

Study Island helps students practice and master grade-level academic standards.
Students log into Study Island using their student ID number in this convention: 12345@arva and using the password: arva.

Parent Booster Club

ARVA's Booster Club is a parent-based volunteer group. The Booster Club is intended to foster local engagement through activities that promote leadership, school pride and outreach, and meaningful connections for families through its efforts. Activities that the Boosters participate in include planning booster outings, organizing fundraisers, and helping parents and families get involved.
The next Booster meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, online from 8-9PM.

Barnes & Noble Book Fairs

Barnes & Noble book fairs are in full swing across the state! Jonesboro's event was a success last Friday and there are two more coming your way:

Click the links above for more information and to RSVP.

Join other ARVA students, families, and staff members in playing grade-level (K-11th) games, making crafts, enjoying stories, learning about educational resources, participating in student presentations, and winning prizes. During student presentations, ARVA students can showcase their talents in dance, music, poetry, art, community projects, etc.

A percentage of all purchases will be donated to our school for things like student incentives!

ARVA's Family Academic Support Team (FAST) and the Strong Start Site

ARVA's Family Academic Support Team (FAST) provides comprehensive preparation and sustained support for engagement to promote improved achievement outcomes through strengths-based, proactive, and positive intervention. FAST publishes the Diamond Gazette newsletter, shares information from K12's National Family Academic Support Team, engages families at outings, and works to promote student engagement for academic success.
