LPS TIGER TALK
News from Loveland Primary School 10/1/2021
A Message From The Principal
Dear LPS Families,
We are excited to welcome in October with our Tigers! We’ve spent the first month of school preparing for this time; the time when learning becomes more personal for our students! You will continue to notice your student becoming even more engaged in meaningful work at their individual level.
In August, we welcomed back nearly 600 in-person learners for the first time in over 15 years as our first grade team (once split between LPS and LECC) was reunited. Since then, we have been working hard to support our Tigers (big and small) as they adjust to full, in-person learning in new spaces with new routines. The beginning-of-year assessments and team data reviews are all complete. Classroom routines have been established and learning communities created. All of the work put into the first 30 days of the school year allows for successful, small group, personalized learning to truly take place. Interim reports will be coming out soon and the beginning of year data reports will be posted next week to the eBackpack for families to review. It also won’t be long until we are meeting with families for Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child before then, please reach out and let us know.
Before closing, I want to talk about some recent conversations and social media postings about bullying concerns at LPS. When you send your children to school, you’re trusting us to care for both their safety and their learning, and everyone in Loveland City Schools takes that trust seriously. Anytime there’s an incident at school or on the bus we work with any family involved so our students learn to make better decisions when mistakes are made. This helps every student succeed. We talk to our students all the time about showing CARE, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY throughout the building and we will partner with families to provide correction, guidance, and appropriate consequences when needed.
Our school is a great place because of our partnership with you, our LPS families. If you have any questions or concerns, please connect with your child’s teacher. You can also schedule a meeting with me, call me, or send an email to fancheke@lovelandschools.org.
My door is always open.
Sincerely,
Kevin Fancher
Principal, LPS

Year after year, this school-wide event continues to promote physical fitness and Tiger PRIDE, while simultaneously raising funds to provide the resources, equipment, and experiences that our schools might not otherwise afford. We have some exciting prizes this year, including a Reds basket, Loveland Tiger Spirit basket, Loveland Shops basket, and 2 Loveland Eats baskets! Plus some other fun surprises for those that collect over $100. Photos and details will be posted to the LEPTA social media pages on Monday! Remember donations are due by 10/15.
