Parking

Parents, thank you for bearing with us during our very well-attended Meet the Teacher. We had over 90% of our families attend this special time! We will be working closely with our MISD police department for future "big events" to incorporate some new ideas, such as satellite parking with shuttle service. We want to honor your time and involvement.

Remember that we always have plenty of staff to help guide students as they enter the building. Feel free to avoid the First Day parking crowds and drop your children off in the car rider line or send them on the bus. We are looking forward to seeing your children on Tuesday!

We are Gardeners!

The variety of plants and flowers in front of our school is not typical landscaping! The hands-on learning area includes: sunflower, bluebonnet, vegetables, herbs, and a butterfly garden. Throughout the year our students participate in gardening lessons that support required science TEKS. Garden days are posted on our calendar for parent information. Please dress your child accordingly for the 30 minute outside lesson and remember that parents are always welcome to stop by and visit any of our garden classes. We appreciate our PTA's support of this program!

We are Safe!

Parents, we are asking that after the 1st Day of School, you hug & kiss goodbye prior to entering the classroom hallways. You will not have to scan your i.d. to walk your children to this point by the library, and you can watch them walk down the hallway if you wish. Remember that students are allowed in the building at 8:00, we will call for birthdays at 8:12, and school will begin at 8:15 a.m. this year.
