Straight from the Hardt

Hello Ridgeline Families-

Just when we think things are going to slow down…they don’t! Each passing day and week keeps us very busy and engaged in what we do. I guess it’s good that time goes faster when you’re having fun!

So much to celebrate and look forward to. Each weekly newsletter will help keep you in the know, so take a quick skim through.

We are going to celebrate the month of October with a full Spirit Week the 18th-22nd.

It has been a real pleasure to watch our student-athletes and Regiment members work and compete this year. I feel they have exceeded expectations in so many ways. Not just in the Win/Loss column, but their overall effort, attitudes, and commitment. Thank you to our Coaches for developing leadership and character in our students through your example and commitment as well.

Equally important has been our student section at sporting events—they’ve been awesome! They’re supportive, loud, and certainly know how to have a good time! Thank you to leadership and other student groups for working behind the scenes of most activities to promote school spirit!

We are planning our first school-wide assembly in the main gym to celebrate Veteran’s Day on November 10, 9:15am. Veteran’s from our families and community are invited to join us and share in a moment of thanks and respect. We will have an honors seating area, but space is somewhat limited due to covid capacity issues. Any Veteran may be accompanied by 1-2 people.

Thank you for your continued support of staff and students at Ridgeline High School.

Make it a great weekend! --Mr. Hardt

Veterans Day

Dear Falcon students, families, and staff,

We would like to honor the veterans in your family during Veterans Day next week. We have a few questions and you can upload a photograph of your family and closest friends who have served. These vets will be honored during the assembly and throughout the week on our video screens in the Commons.

You can only fill out one form, but each form can accept up to 5 veterans. We are requesting students and staff to fill out information for one veteran, but you can add up to four more if you have a lot of service history in your immediate family.

Photographs in uniform are wonderful, but it is not required that uploaded photos are of someone in their uniform. Please complete submissions by Monday, November 1st so we can include your honorees in the assembly the following week. Thank you for helping us honor those who you are close to. Veterans Day is an important day to celebrate our service men and women.

Boston Marathon completed!

Big picture

I set out 4 years ago to achieve this goal. I qualified at the 2019 Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon for the 2020 Boston Marathon. That marathon was cancelled and I had to re-apply for the 2021 Boston Marathon. I was blessed to get in and on October 11th, I fulfilled my dream to run the Boston Marathon. It was an amazing experience. The city of Boston really celebrates this race and all of the athletes. There wasn’t a single mile along the 26.2 mile route from Hopkinton to Boylston Street that wasn’t lined with supporters. Turning onto Boylston Street brought tears to my eyes and goosebumps to my arms. I was a Boston Marathon runner!
