What's Going On In Raider Nation Vol. 1 Issue 31
What's Your National Championship?
Dawn Staley and the Lady Gamecocks won the National Championship on Sunday Night!
Coach Staley mention her national championship involved cutting down nets, but other people win the top title everyday accomplishing goals they work hard to achieve.
For example, the national championship for us at W.J. Keenan High School is to prepare young people to make a difference, positively contribute to society, and give back to the world in a major way.
It's so much bigger than us, yet, the decisions we make everyday to educate our young people get's us closer to winning our national championship.
Are we going to challenge our students, build relationships, and help them think differently to successfully compete in society? Or, are we thriving to be average or simply make it through? We have to answer these questions.
We stand together in these difficult time as we transition from a world shut down by a pandemic to a society fighting to get back to a much better place.
Let's win the national championship and continue to "Eat Rings!"
Please share what we are focusing on with your students and parents.
1. Practicing Explicit Direct Instruction (E.D.I) strategies for student engagement.
2. Taking a closer look at individual students and employing interventions with the help of parents.
3. Reducing student tardies and holding students accountable for being to class on time.
4. Wearing ID's (Our ID machine had ID issues at the start of the school year, but we will have more focus on ID's this week)
5. Interpreting student data and making decisions for student improvement.
Reflecting and Refocusing is key to being the best professional educators for the success of our young Raiders!
We are W.J. Keenan High School, Home of
the Champion Raiders!
