PTAA ROCKET REVIEW
April 10, 2023
Note from the Principal
Greetings PTAA Families,
We hope you had a great long weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather! It is hard to believe that we are in our second week of April and only have 7 more weeks of school left until Summer dismissal! As I am sure you have all seen... we have our School Bus! Thank you all for helping raise funds towards our $10,000.00 goal! We searched for months on Auctions to find a bus that will meet our needs to remodel into a great Library Space. The remodel will happen from now through the summer and will be up and running for the new 23-24 school year!
PTAA CMAS testing for Grades 3-7th starts this week. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and easts a healthy breakfast before having to expend the brain power on these next weeks. Please also partner with us to remind students to try their best and not rush through the assessments.
April 10-14th Science Week (5th Grade Only) Science Assessments are broken up by three Units (April 10-12th). Thursday there will be no testing and Friday, the 14th is our Science Make Up day for any students that are absent for any of the Units.
April 17-21st Math Week (3rd-7th Grades) Math Assessments are broken up by three Units (April 17-19th). Thursday there will be no testing and Friday, the 21st is our Math Make Up day for any students that are absent for any of the Units.
April 24-28th ELA Week (3rd - 7th Grades) ELA Assessments are broken up by three Units (April 24-26th). Thursday there will be no testing and Friday, the 28th is our ELA Make Up day for any students that are absent for any of the Units.
PTAA will be sending out information on Summer programs in the next two weeks. We are happy to offer Expanded Learning Opportunities during the month of June thanks to a grant from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Teachers and Staff will also be offering various Summer Camps opportunities as we did last summer. I will post information and sign up forms on the usual communication avenues (Newsletter, FB, REMIND). Keep a look out! Have a great week.
Mrs. Houston
