Where are their sweatshops located?

There is one sweat shop located in Saipan.

What products are made in these sweatshops?

Mostly clothing such as shirts, shoes, pants, etc.

What are the conditions of workers in these sweat shops?

The conditions of the workers are that they have low wages, they cannot afford the basic costs of living, substandard and unsafe working and living conditions, they work long hours overtime, there was reports of sexual harassment, and the women are forced into indentured servitude.

Did the company respond to accusations that they use sweatshops? Do they still use sweatshops?

They had a lawsuit pressed against them about it and they said they had used false advertising and unfair business practices regarding the sale or products from the sweat shops in Saipan.

How did the industrial revoultion affect working conditions today?

The working conditions got better.

What soultions/alternatives are there to sweatshops?

They have machines to do that today.

What did i learn?

That life for the sweatshop workers was rough back then.

As an American consumer, are you now more concerned with how the products you buy are made? Why or why not?

Yes, I don't want to wear peoples hard work just so I can have fashionable clothing.
