Marcello is a small and gentle dog groomer who wants two things, to look after his dogs and take his daughter on exotic holidays. But to fund this lifestyle he runs a side business which has more unsavory clientele and soon finds himself involved in a dangerous relationship of subjugation with Simon, a former violent boxer who terrorizes the entire neighborhood. When Simone exploits him too much, Marcello must make a crucial and potentially dangerous decision in order to regain his dignity.

Italian Conversation Hour with Giovanni

The host will be Giovanni Minicucci, exchange student from Italy here in Rochester. The event will start at 3 PM. Just a reminder that this will be the LAST Conversation Hour for the Summer. Try to connect a bit earlier to make sure that everything works. As always we will talk about grammar and vocabulary doing some readings and comprehension and we will go into the breakout rooms so we can conversate in Italian. We will translate some sentences from Italian to English and English to Italian.

Rochester International Film Festival is virtual, now through June 27th!

62nd Rochester International Film Festival will be virtual June 21-27, 2020.

RIFF is the longest continuously held short film festival in the world, voted 6 years in a row by readers of City Newspaper as the Best Local Film Festival.

NOW - June 27 anyone within 100 mile radius from Rochester will be able to view the 28 films for FREE by going to the website:

You then can vote for the short films you want to see included in Best of the Fest. Enjoy!

Fare Cinema Film Festival available on RaiPlay!

The third edition of "Fare Cinema" is available for free streaming on, This online Film Festival presents a series of events dedicated to Italian movies and cinematic professionals. Additionally, RaiPlay is paying tribute to Federico Fellini in celebration of his 100th birthday!

RaiPlay offers a variety of programs from movies and documentaries, to tv series and concerts.
