Principal's Corner
Every all-school Mass the students write something on an envelope to offer God and then put it in the collection basket. When we started this last year, we used old church envelopes the parish office had collected. As you can imagine we went through those fairly quickly.
We are asking for your help in supplying us with envelopes. They can be unused church envelopes, envelopes that don't fit the cards you have at home, or just about any kind of envelope you can think of. Envelopes can be dropped off in the school office. Any help is much appreciated.
Opening Day
Even though Opening Day is Thursday, March 29, which is over spring break, we want to celebrate the return of baseball and spring. So the first day back from spring break (Monday, April 2) will be Reds Day at SLS. Students may wear Reds clothes and hats. Students may also wear SLS spirit wear if they choose. Just treat it like a "red and white" day.

Chocolate Delivery
Also, please remember, money is due back to your homeroom or the front office by Friday, April 13th. Please make sure you have all the kids names on the envelope so they can receive an out of uniform pass. We are also asking this year, if possible, that instead of sending in the money, that you send a check in. This way it is easier to track and we receive the correct amount. We had many issues last year with not receiving the full amount.
Thanks to everyone that is selling chocolate and donated towards this fundraiser.

Cardinal Crawl
Congratulations to Mrs. Bossert’s homeroom for turning the most Cardinal Crawl registrations in last week. They won the pizza party. Please continue sending Cardinal Crawl registrations to the office. Thank you.
The Cardinal Crawl is a 5K run-walk-crawl fundraiser that helps support SLS Athletics. The money raised helps the school maintain the Activity Center floor, helps buy uniforms and equipment, pays referees, provides transportation for the 7th and 8th grade away games and much more.

My last book fair is scheduled for the end of April and I would like to get the Ballots out before that, as we need to have our vote in before May 1st. Please remind students that they need to record the dates and not just check them off.
Thank you!

SLS Enrichment classes
The SLS enrichment classes are being formed for Mid-April. We would love for someone to bring a vehicle to the school parking lot and teach basic auto maintenance (tire pressure, check oil, etc.). Do you know someone who would love to teach our students? We are excited to offer a variety of classes this spring.
If you know an auto expert please contact Jenny Schebler at rjschebler@aol.com or Carla Austin at carlaink@yahoo.com. Thank you!
