Periods

  • use a period at the end of a declarative sentence such as : I am wearing a jacket today.
  • use a period at the end of almost every imperative sentence
  • use a period at the end of an indirect question

question marks

  • use a question mark at the end of an interrogative sentence such as: were is my shoe ?

Other uses for periods

  • use a period at the end of most abreviations or after an initial.

  • initial examples R.R : railroad D.C district of colombia

exclamation points

  • use s an exclamation mark to ends an exclamatory sentence.
  • use an exclamation point after an interjection or any exclamatory expression
