Start Running With iRun4Life

This year Gayman will again offer the run club called IRun4Life. IRun4Life promotes fitness and healthy lifestyles with our children. Key features include running, good deeds, a goal race and running with parents. IRun4Life is open to grades 1st through 6th. For complete details and to register for IRun4Life click here.

Warm Weather Coming

As we approach warm weather, we ask that you closely monitor the clothing your children wear to school. Clothing such as flip-flops (for safety reasons), spaghetti strap shirts, short shorts/skirts, etc. are not appropriate for school. In addition, areas such as the belly should not be exposed. Children who come to school wearing such clothing will be asked to report to the nurse who will provide them with alternative clothing.

Spring and Summer Programs at St. Mary Medical Center

Boomerang Award

This year, Gayman will continue to accept nominations for the Boomerang Award, which is our way of honoring students who best demonstrate their own developmental assets. What are Developmental Assets? Students possessing a combination of “40 Assets” are typically most successful in school and in life. These assets have the power to influence choices young people make and help them become caring, responsible adults. For a complete listing of the 40 Developmental Assets visit: www. Search-institute.org.

March #17. Creative Activities. Young person participates in creative activities which have a direct positive impact on him/her and others. Their creative activity can take a variety of forms - music, drama, art, or any other creative activity. Boomerang nominations may be emailed to Suzanne Vass at svass@cbsd.org, or printed out and sent into the office.
