From the Principal's Desk...
Make your requests known to God.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The weather is changing, and it feels like fall is here. We are continuing to have a very successful reopening of school. Thank you for your support and cooperation of all of the work we are doing together to keep everyone safe and healthy. Again, I want to recognize that your daughters and sons are doing a great job.
This Friday we will have our annual Walk for Technology. Our goal is to raise $10,000. We intend to continue our purchase of Dell computers to provide these devices next to our third grade students as the funds allow. We are very hopeful that with another successful St. John’s School Spectacular in November that we will be able to purchase additional devices for grades K-2. Thank you for your support of both of these critical endeavors.
We wanted to go ahead with this event on Friday not only to raise needed funds but also to provide something normal and fun for our students. This day gives everyone the opportunity to be outside all morning, to get some exercise and enjoy the day, and to be part of something bigger. I want to thank those who have helped to organize it and everyone who will support it.
This Sunday’s second reading (PHIL 4:6-9), encourages us even in the midst of this pandemic of how we can and should approach it. “Brothers and sisters: Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We all know that our lives have changed; that many things are very different now than they were last fall. We also know that Jesus Christ has not changed; that He is still the Lord of all creation. I challenge myself and encourage everyone else to follow St. Paul’s advice and make your requests known to God. Let us pray for one another every day.
Peace,
Dan Minelli

Dismissal Policy Reminders
This is an important reminder concerning our dismissal and student pick up policies. We are requiring that everyone follow these policies for the safety of all of our students.
1-Bus riders will be dismissed first due to the expectations of our local public school districts regarding students boarding buses.
2-Car riders will be dismissed next. Only students who will be picked up in the car rider line may be dismissed through the gym lobby doors.
3-Walkers will be dismissed last. This includes students who are being picked up by a parent waiting across the street or in the church lot.
No walkers will be permitted to exit through the gym lobby to meet a parent who is not in the car line.
