You will be taught how to properly budget your time and money. Also, how to create recipes from what you have in your pantry.

You will also be taught how to read and understand the nutritional facts on labelling.

The meeting day is coming soon...

The meeting will entail recipe hand-outs, so you can cook for your family! There will be 3 cooking seminars.

Understanding the basic cooking methods and how to make up your own recipe is very helpful in daily living. Especially, if you have limited ingredients in your kitchen!

Grilled Honey lime chicken sandwich

Ingredients:


1 lime, juiced

2 tablespoons honey
1 rounded teaspoon cumin
A handful cilantro, finely chopped, about 1/2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, canola, or corn oil
4 (6 to 8-ounce) boneless skinless chicken breast
1 teaspoon grill seasoning blend or coarse salt and pepper
Toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, and sliced avocado
1 cup prepared salsa verde
4 crusty rolls, split


Directions:

Mix the first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Coat chicken in the mixture.
Grill the chicken 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked

Slice the chicken horizontally and place on the bun. Then top with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and sliced avocado. You may add any preferred ingredients.
