Curriculum Night-Thursday September 6

The first week of school was a busy and exciting time. The classrooms are buzzing with learning, and everyone is settling into new routines. Teachers are preparing for Curriculum night. This is our opportunity to share information about what your student will be learning this year. Due to space constraints and the presentation format this evening is tailored for adults. Please leave your student at home. Parking will be tight, to avoid the hassle consider walking. We look forward to seeing you. Here is the schedule for the evening.

5:15- Volunteer Orientation

6:00- Kindergarten & First Grade

6:30-Second and Third grade

7:00- Fourth and Fifth Grade

Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is a tradition at Sexton Mountain. This year parent concerns over a book title have been brought to my attention. Please know I take your concerns seriously. I have attached the descriptions of the book titles. Please read them over. If you wish to not have your student read a certain title please email Dawn Kimball and your child's teacher. It will be noted on your child's library account and they will not be allowed to check the book out. Students can participate in Battle of the Books without reading all the titles.I would encourage you to read the books before making any decisions. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Only service dogs are allowed on District property during school hours. Please do not bring your dog to school during pick up or drop off.
