Below you can see our winter NWEA performance. We had some highs and some lows. While the lows give me some pause, I am not deeply concerned, as our curriculum is aligned to ILearn and not to the NWEA test. That means that there is material that the teachers have not taught yet that was tested. All content will be taught before the spring NWEA window and the ILearn testing.
We will begin scheduling for students in 6, 7, and 8 next school year in February. Students will be given scheduling forms during their Goal classes. Please go over the forms carefully with your students and make selections. Be sure to sign your forms and return them to Goal Teachers by Friday, February 7. Current 5th graders will not receive scheduling forms until later this spring after they have an opportunity to learn about band and choir.
Current 8th-grade students will be meeting with DHS counselors per the schedule below. With the passage of Graduation Pathways, students are now able to individualize their graduation requirements to align with their postsecondary goals. No longer must all students fit into the same academic mold, but rather, they can choose the options that best meet their postsecondary needs and aspirations. Students can create pathways that serve their educational interests and prepares them for postsecondary education and career opportunities. Have an excellent weekend! It is a pleasure to serve you and your students.

Winter NWEA Results for Math
Our overall percentage of students predicted to pass math ILearn for the winter NWEA window is 74% down .7% from our fall showing. The good news is that we are up in terms of whole school performance for winter if you compare to both 17-18 and 18-19. That could be an excellent sign for spring results! Keep in mind that we are looking for a 5% growth or higher.
Winter NWEA Results for English/Reading
Our overall percentage of students predicted to pass ELA/Reading ILearn for the winter NWEA window is 79.6% up .3% from our fall showing. While it is up from the fall, it is below where we have performed from the previous two winter windows. Keep in mind that we are looking for a 5% growth or higher.

Nutrition Club
The Nutrition Club provides supplemental weekend food for children at North, South and the Middle School each Friday during the school year. We all struggle at some point. The goal of this program is to ease a bit of the struggle. You are welcome to sign-up at any point during the school year. The food will be sent home in a plastic bag that can fit inside a school backpack or be carried. You only complete one form per family. List all of your children that you would like to participate. Each child in your family will receive their own cinch sack or bag on Fridays throughout the school year. This program is the result of the generosity of the Danville community!
Please contact Chrissy Larkin with any questions. clarkin9893@aol.com or 317-563-2498. Please click on the link below for the form:
