Dogs

At Leinster Community School we love dogs....but unfortunately Education Department Policy states that dogs are not permitted on site. Please refrain from bringing your dog to school assemblies, afterschool pick up and try to put some measures in place to prevent them from following the kids to school.

Carpark

We have been working with BHP on the carpark situation which was impacted by COVID and larger enrolments. We have worked collaboratively with them to conduct a risk assessment and problem solve some solutions to make it safer for all. Please see the changes below.

  • Staff will trial parking behind the school -clearing the carpark for parents
  • Students will be educated on using footpaths to exit the school rather than cutting across the carpark
  • A Lollipop person will be investigated for the crossing
  • An additional crossing will be created within the carpark
  • The car bays will be re-marked to allow for bigger bays
  • Bays will be allocated for K-2 parents
  • Kiss and drop-signage- parents please stay in your car- no need to exit as this holds up traffic. We will bring your child to your car
  • Community education
