Teacher Evaluations

Evaluating Teacher Effectiveness

Danielson

Starting in 2013 Rush Henrietta School District began using Charlotte Danielson's Framework as the rubric for our annual performance review. This is a four point rubric that relies on observational evidence and collected artifacts to determine teacher effectiveness. I have consistently been evaluated to be overall Effective, which is the same as Proficient on Danielson's rubric. This rating is based on both observational data, teacher artifacts, and state test scores for Grades 3-4 Math and ELA. There are many areas where I come across as Distinguished/Highly Effective during observations.

On the academic year sub-tabs I will be uploading the PDF versions of each evaluation I have received for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years using Danielson's rubric. Please feel free to ask me any questions about these documents. I have also added the website link to Danielson's Framework and a sub-tab for the PDF version of her framework.

Marzano

In Pasco County, they use Marzano's Framework. This is similar to Danielson in that there are rubrics that outline what an effective teacher should be doing daily in their instruction and planning and it is based on observations and teacher artifacts to determine the ratings. There are 4 domains with 60 elements that are targeted for observation. Teachers are rated on a rubric from Unsatisfactory to Highly Effective.

On the academic year sub-tabs I will be uploading the PDF versions of the evaluation I received for the 2015-2016 school year using Marzano's Framework. I am currently in the observational process for the 2016-2017 school year. It also includes my mid-year evaluation for Domains 2-4 and Announced Observation for Domain 1 for the current school year. Please feel free to ask me any questions about these documents. Here are links to PDF documents that outline the basic framework and desired effects that are evaluated each year using this system.
