CHHS Debate Team

Congratulations to the CHHS Debate Team for their performance this past weekend at the Grapevine Fall Classic debate tournament. Competing against 100+ schools from multiple states, we had the following results. Sophomores Hannah Lewis and Cint "Zeke" Stalnaker finished in the top 64 teams in the 150 team Public Forum debate division. Zeke was in the top third of speakers and Hannah was named the 20th speaker out of 300 debaters in that division. The policy debate team of senior Shahina Chatur and junior Judy Zhu finished in the top 32 of the 85 team division.

These competitions are taking place online. Debating virtually is a challenge, but the students have a unique opportunity to compete against other students from throughout this country. They debated well and we are very proud of them. Please congratulate them either in person or virtually when you have a chance.
