A reminder for the Alumni Association event this Friday - we hope you can attend!
For catering purposes, please let me know if you are planning to attend and have not yet purchased your tickets so that we can get a better idea of numbers.
You are invited to a cocktail event with MSA Alumni who are involved in the America’s Cup! This event is open to everyone, so please help spread the word and come out for a cocktail or two.
When: Friday, March 10th, 5:30 pm until 8 pm
Where: Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute
How much: $25 – tickets available in the office from Theresa or online via https://www.ptix.bm
- Hear from chairpersons of various ACBDA committees about their involvement and what to expect of the upcoming event at 6 pm – Brian Gonsalves (Transport Committee), Garry Madeiros (Legacy & Sustainability), Mark Soares (Superyachts)
- Tour the BUEI special exhibit ‘Built to Win’ – an education exhibit that includes artefacts from the very first America’s Cup event in 1851 and displays of the cutting-edge technology used in today’s racing. Among the highlights are the virtual reality headsets that place the viewer in the seat of a soaring AC catamaran, grinding machine to test the user’s mental agility before and after exercise and an array of catamaran materials used throughout the years.

The Science Olympics committee is asking for donations of empty plastic bottles and ping pong balls (which can be returned after the event). A variety of bottles are needed- small water bottles, 2L bottles, Pure Water containers (or similar). Bottles can be dropped off at the office or the Elementary Science Lab by Wednesday March 15th.
