NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY
Monday, January 9th is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and we would like to honor our School Resource Officer, Amy Hempe. Officer Hempe has been with the Franklin Police Department for almost 10 1/2 years. Aside from working within Franklin Public Schools, she has been involved with being an Evidence Technician, part of the Crime Prevention Unit, and a negotiator on the Hostage Negotiator Unit. She helps to lead Citizen Academy Classes to teach others about evidence collection and crime prevention. One of her favorite things to do prior to joining us in FPS, was to host several school groups or scout groups for tours at the Police Department. Officer Hempe shared some thoughts with us about her career: "My career allows me the opportunity to directly influence our youth in our community, and this has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my job!" Thank you to Officer Hempe and all law enforcement for partnering with us and helping to keep our community safe!
REGISTRATION FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
Registration opened at noon on Monday, December 5th for the 2023-24 school year on our website here. Registration is for any new families to Franklin or new students looking to register for next year in 4K, 5K or up through 12th grade. If you have any friends or family in Franklin that plan to have children attend Franklin Public Schools next year, please pass this information along to them! Registering early helps to get all information in our system for planned communications.
Please note that any student that is already attending Franklin Public Schools DOES NOT need to register for next school year as a new student. All parents/guardians will be required to review your student’s data during our summer Back-To-School Online Check-In process. Any family who knows a student will not be returning for the next school year should notify your school’s main office staff.
