Are more federal regulations on guns and ammunition needed?
BANG BANG BANG
Gun control is a BIG ISSUE in the US today. Thay should be more stricked on gun and ammunition sales.
Barack Obama's point on gun control is The Republican-led House voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. The politically & constitutionally charged dispute centered on whether the Justice Department must turn over e-mails and memorandums showing its internal deliberations last year about the botched Arizona-based gunrunning investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious. President Obama has invoked executive privilege to block the subpoena. Operation Fast & Furious was conducted from late 2009 to early 2011 by ATF agents who were looking into a gun-smuggling network linked to a Mexican drug cartel. Suspected "straw" purchasers for the network ended up acquiring about 2,000 guns. In Dec. 2010, two such weapons were found at the site of a shootout in which a Border Patrol agent was killed. The Obama administration will not prosecute Holder for criminal contempt because the Justice Department does not consider it to be a crime to fail to provide information over which a president has asserted executive privilege.
mitt romney point on gun control is “Live Free or Die” New Hampshire, in the early days of his presidential campaign, Romney was facing his electoral future. If he really wanted to be a viable presidential candidate—let alone a viable presidential candidate for a party blissfully wed to unfettered gun rights—he needed to start singing a different tune. The guy in the NRA cap was just one man, but there were millions more gun owners in Romney’s immediate future, in Iowa and Ohio and Florida and everywhere else. For a candidate whose opponents on the right were hell-bent on hanging the RINO label on him, it was a problem.
