All About the Week
We have had a "Dino-Mite" week in preschool. We continued our topic of study on dinosaurs. This week we focused more on the extinction and fossil side of things. On Tuesday, we practiced our cutting make a dinosaur egg craft. Then on Wednesday we read the book, Dinosaurs Love Underpants and created our own underpants. On Thursday, we were Palentologist and got to dig for fossils in sand, noodles, and beans. Then on Friday, we go to make our own Fossils to take home!
We also worked on some fine motor activities this week, strengthening our fingers! In math we focused on recognizing numbers and counting to 10 and reviewed colors. During letter time we worked really hard on recognizing and writing our names! Please continue to work on this at home!
Next week we will start our topic of study on Community Helpers.
Homecoming is coming up and the preschool children are invited to ride on 2 preschool homecoming floats in the parade on Thursday, September 29th. They are asked to wear black and orange and bring candy to throw out. This is completely optional, but the kids love it! We are also ways looking for volunteers to help decorate the float and donate some supplies such as crate paper, balloons, ribbon, etc.... Let me know if you would like to donate or volunteer. We will be sending more info out about it next week !
