Principal Update
Dear Wildcat Families,
As we pause our “in building” learning for the next three weeks, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support and help with making our first ten weeks of school an awesome experience for our students. We truly have a building of Super Heroes!
Our remote learning dates for ALL students are: Wednesday, November 18– Tuesday, December 8.
We have an amazing opportunity to model for our kids, how to be flexible, make mistakes, learn new things and overcome obstacles. My team and I are committed to working through those challenges and finding solutions. I know that as a community, if our school and families work together, we can accomplish anything.
During remote learning, our students will engage in a daily combination of scheduled "live" Zoom sessions with their teacher and classmates, as well as time spent independently on assignments, watching learning videos or working in small groups with other students and staff. Your classroom teacher has set up a Google Classroom that your child is connected to. Here, you will find the daily schedule and daily live Zoom links. Our professional staff will continue to use email and dojo along with the Google Classroom to communicate with parents.
All in-person learners will be taking home devices (Chromebooks grades 2-5 & iPads grades Y5-1. Please note that students will bring these devices back when we return for in-person learning.
We will run on standard day beginning at 8:45 a.m. and wrapping up at 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Teachers will share detailed schedules that include synchronous, asynchronous, small group and individual learning opportunities.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please let our team know. We are here for you and want to help support you in any way that we can during this time away from our school.
Best Regards,
Michelle Briegel
Principal

Student Health Screening DAILY!
Be sure you are doing a health screening each morning for any WHS student coming to school for face to face learning. Please see the attached document for steps to follow and if the student answers "Yes" to any of the questions to Section 1 and and Section 2 please keep them home from school. Parents, you do not need to bring in a doctor's note each time a student checks yes and stays home for a day or two. In the case of extended yes answers, seeking medical assistance and a doctor's note would be most appropriate.
Thank you for doing your part to help maintain a healthy learning environment.
Thanksgiving Activity Calendar
We go outside for recess even in the winter!
BRRRR!!!!
Please make sure that your children come dressed for the weather. Until the wind-chill dips below 20°, we go outside for recess, so warm coats, gloves and hats are a must.
Please remember to label student clothing.
Thank you PTO!
