hello ponies - a little to share about Mrs. Nevarez
I am Jessica Nevarez. This is my second year to teach in the Behavioral Intervention Classroom at Lewisville Elementary School. I grew up in The Colony and have two siblings, Heather and Ryan. My brother and sister-in-law are about to have their first baby (also the first grandbaby) in June!
I attended the University of North Texas. I majored in Rehabilitation Studies and minored in Addiction Studies. My degree focused on working with and advocating for individuals with disabilities. After completing my Bachelors degree I attended Texas Tech University School of Law. I graduated in May of 2012 and subsequently passed the Bar Exam in November of the same year. I practiced law for about two and half years and then left to pursue my career in teaching.
I currently live in Denton and enjoy going to festivals, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

Information for Think Through Math and No Tardy Taters
Think Through Math
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students have passed 75% of their lessons in Think Through Math. That means 10,750 TTM lessons have already been passed during this school year! Ponies, keep up your good work. :)
No Tardy Taters
Students have been working diligently to come to school on time. During the past month of April, eleven classes have received "No Tardy Tater" award certificates! Remember, complete your Mr. Potato Head with no tardies for ten days, and your class receives a certificate and a treat.
IStation Assessments Time and EOY Calendar assessment
Please remind your students to do their best. Please remember to provide a testing environment so your students take the assessment seriously; every student must have headphones.
Please take a minute to look at the EOY ELA Assessment Calendar. Begin organizing your plans so you can ensure all testing is done by the deadline the district provides.
