Youth exchange: Self-expression for YOUTH
WHAT?
It is a KA1 youth exchange project about audiovisual communication, artistic expression and to express them through theatre and learn from and about it and develop a new and healthy attitude towards it. The participants have enjoyed different approaches to performance, audiovisual communication and theatre and at the end of the youth-exchange created a video together that have been shown in the social media attached to this project.
WHO?
Partner countries, such Spain, Italy, Denmark, Poland and Armenia. 30 participants, of which 1 group leader per partner organization. 50% of young people who came were disadvantaged youth.
WHAT FOR?
General aim of this youth exchange was: to enhance the motivation and the awareness of oneself and the spirit of initiative of young people through artistic activities such as theatre, performance and the audio-visual communication; to develop the digital competences of the participants in order to promote a healthy use of the new media and their employability; to give the opportunity to young people to experiment their selves in expressing their inner world and accept differences in order to be their selves promoter of intercultural dialogue and to make them feel able to play a main role in the social change as promoter of values such as the European citizenship, respect for cultural diversity and active participation.
Our specific objectives were:
- To create a safe space for a better and faster learning process through theatre, audio-visual techniques and mutual exchange of experiences and practices.
- To foster the intercultural dialogue through an artistic focus, audio-visual products adapted to a digital era and non-formal education activities.
- To promote participants’ creativity and spontaneity as tools for their participation and personal development.
- To promote a better understanding of oneself and of his/her motivations in following his/her expectations and objectives.
- To develop the personal dimension of each participant teaching artistic mean through which it is possible to express one’s inner world and creativity in a unique way.
- To develop the participants’ digital competencies in order to improve their possibility of being employed and express his/her own ideas.
- To reflect upon the European values and on how new technologies can help in the construction of the European identity.
FOR WHOM?
Target Group
Young people aged between 18 and 25 years old with a high interest in audiovisual communication, theatre and body expression as well as intercultural learning.
We have invited partners from EU countries and Associated Countries (Armenia, Denmark, Poland, Italy and Spain).

WHEN?
The youth exchange took place from 1st of July to July 8th, 2017.
The result!
The results of the project are the creation of young people's video performance and a short movie, and the creation of a blog.
The impact of the project is generally raised awareness of young people about their potential and their the role as European citizens, increased participation in their community and involvement in mobility projects at European level Erasmus +.
The long-term benefits of the project are related to greater social awareness in line with intercultural dialogue and increased cooperation between European project partners to develop youth mobility projects.
