In his life he was a civil rights leader and gave speeches wanting blacks to cast of shackles of slavery "by any means necessary" including violence.
Did you know: When Malcolm X was young he wanted to be a lawyer. When he told this to his teacher his teacher said, "One of life's first needs is for us to be realistic."
Malcolm X showed great bravery, perseverance, and leadership over his time being a civil rights leader.
Even though this person was seen as fiery and violent compared to the other civil rights leaders at the time like Martin Luther King Jr. he left a great legacy. He helped blacks cast away slavery through his speeches and his efforts are seen today. He was assassinated before a speech on February 21, 1965 he was shot at point blank range by three gunman that rushed the stage.
