PRINCIPAL NEWS AND NOTES, Vol. 1, No. 6

There are many good things happening this week;
- Some of our 6th graders are going on an overnight to Thompson Island this Tuesday and Wednesday.
- On Wednesday October 10th our seniors will visit the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Our sophomores and juniors will be participating in the College Board PSAT, provided free to our students.
- REMINDER THAT THIS WEDNESDAY, October 10th IS THE FIRST WEDNESDAY WHERE STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 11:30 AM...Exception...Grade 6 students attending the overnight trip to Thompson Island will return to the school at 2:00 pm.
Girls Volleyball is off to a great start!
Art is an elective at the Dearborn Stem Academy.

College Fair a Success!!
On October 4th representatives from the following non-profit and colleges and universities met students from Grades 9-12. Our students were engaged, asked good questions, and hopefully came away with a fuller understanding of what college and universities expect from a high school student. ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Students in need of extra support, friendly reminder to check in with teachers to see their after school schedule, it's a great time to ask for homework help and ask questions about class see Mr. Likosky in Room 267.
Fire Drill
According to Massachusetts rules and regulations we are required to hold drills periodically throughout the year. We will continue to update you after each drill.
Please continue to talk to your child about the importance of paying attention and listening when drills are run. Thank you.
If you need help...
Uniform...
A DSA t-shirt, polo shirt or sweatshirt. It must say DSA. We are not focused on the pants or the shoes; just look school appropriate.
L&M Bargain Store carries the DSA shirts and sweatshirts. They have two locations, one at 745 Dudley Street in Upham's Corner and one in the Plaza at 640 American Legion Highway in Roslindale.
