Oakland Mental Health Liaison
Our firm belief is that the social-emotional piece is every bit as important as academics. In fact, there is strong research that shows that academic achievement is very positively impacted by attending to the emotional needs of kids. With this in mind, I urge you to reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have. This is all truly a team effort.

In order to prepare for our hybrid instruction plan, we need to know your choice for the second marking period. Please click on the following link (only if you have not already done so) and answer the following three questions:
Release of Cohort Information (and more)
Though there is until 11:59 tonight to make your choice, most have done so and we have a pretty good idea of our overall numbers. A small group of us will be working on the cohorts and then be sharing a draft with the staff early next week. (There are a lot of moving parts.) After the staff has a chance to look them over and offer input if needed, we will get them out to families. In short, our goal is to have them to you by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28th.
You will also be receiving more information from me in the coming days about different parts of our school day (lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, etc.) as we get a better grasp on our final in person numbers.
More to come.
Let Them Make Mistakes
"Show me someone who has never failed and I will show you someone who has never tried." These words have been heard by my daughters more times than I can count, and I continue to stand by them.
Parent-Teacher Conferences (Reminder)
Like most everything this year, other than our continuous love and respect for the kids, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be a little bit different this year. They will be virtual and take place sometime between November 16th and December 4th, which gives time for the records from the first marking period to be complete and available to be discussed as needed. Teachers will schedule them with you (if they have not already done so). Please keep an eye out for this communication from your child's teacher.
