Caruso Connect - May 20th
#CarusoWay
We really enjoyed our second Coffee with Caruso event. It was nice to connect with the adult members of our community. We hope that others will be available to join us next year. As we wrap up another week and are a week closer to the end of this year we are thinking about next year! Please make sure to see ordering information for school supplies for next school year.
For families of 8th graders, your students will be dismissed between 11:00 and 11:15 on May 31st following their graduation practice.
Please see this week's Caruso Connect with some important information and as always our Blue Jays of the Week!
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to any of us.

2022 - 2023 School Year Fees
Camp Duncan
Back on in '22-'23! (communicated March 29)
In past years, students have gone to the YMCA Camp Duncan in the fall of their 5th-grade year. The pandemic made the experience unavailable to our current 6th graders and resulted in a delay for our current 5th graders. The middle schools will begin sponsoring the Camp Duncan trip beginning with the 2022-2023 school year!
6th grade is a big time of transition for students. Not only do two elementary schools merge, but the schedule and school day also look different. The team-building activities offered at Camp Duncan will serve as a great kickoff to middle school as students and staff get to know one another! In 2022-2023, both the 6th and 7th-grade classes at Shepard and Caruso will go to Camp Duncan so all students will have had the opportunity. In future years (2023 and beyond), the 6th-grade class will continue this 109 tradition. More information will be shared by the middle school principals at the beginning of the school year.

The DHS Athletic Booster Club is looking to fill the position of our Membership Chair for the 2022/2023 School Year. In addition, we are looking for a Co-Chair for Warrior Wear (Spirit Wear) and a Co-Chair for Advertising for the 2022/2023 School Year. Lastly, we are now looking for Sports Representatives for Fall, Winter, and Spring Seasons. This is a fantastic way to support your student-athlete as they begin their High School experience.

8th Grade Meeting Recap
Hello 8th Grade Families!
Today our 8th grade team was able to present to our entire 8th grade. They went over information that your student and you need to know for the end of the year. You may view the presentation HERE. Here is the link to the Google Form that is the permission slip and payment information. Payments for the Par-King, our Q4 rewards day, and the class tree go to the Science Teachers/Team Leaders. As Par-King is our Q4 rewards day, students should be aware of the choice they are making so they do not loose the ability to attend this.
At the end I spoke to them about the legacy that they can choose to leave here at Caruso. In the short year I have known this class I am so impressed with them. We reminded that we have high expectations for them these last few weeks and want them to finish 8th grade strong.
If you have any questions, please reach out.
