Boylston Elementary School
This week felt the most "normal" since last March! We celebrated our Amazing Race for Education with a whole school recess, Mrs. Gaucher's class science experiment, and a picnic lunch for RFE lead donors! Mike the Bubbleman even made the return for our Kindergarteners (what has been a yearly tradition). Our annual soap carving took place outside. Rather than write extensively, I collected some pictures. They do say, a picture is worth a thousand words! And now we gear up for the last full week of school!
Mrs. Bowen has asked me to share this information about Field Day next week. The day was planned before the state loosened safety requirements and so was planned without volunteers. Given the nature of the year and the many times we’ve had to go back to the drawing board, we elected to keep our original plan and look forward to welcoming so many helpful parent volunteers back next year!
Another annual tradition we were able to keep this week was our 4th grade "Person I admire most." While the participation was virtual the feelings were real. Here is Ivy to tell you a little about it.
Tahanto has asked me to share this link with our outgoing 5th graders/their incoming 6th graders, regarding orientation over the summer.
