2015-16 Mid-Year Goals Update

Dr. Rod Troutman, Assistant Superintendent, gave a mid-year goals update for the current school year. You can view his presentation here.

2016-17 Preliminary General Fund Budget Approval

The School Board voted to approve the Preliminary General Fund Budget for the next school year. They also approved the ability for the District to seek exceptions to increase the tax cap above the Act 1 Index. Please click here to review the full details.

Principles of Effective Governance and Leadership Adopted

Rich Sniscak thanked Dave Keppel and his crew for doing an amazing job at cleaning up the facilities after a record-breaking snowstorm. He also thanked the administrative team for their efforts in contributing to Rod's mid-year goals report. Rich thanked John and his office for getting the preliminary budget documents ready for public view this month. He also thanked the board for their support of the preliminary budget this evening.

This weekend is the PHS Winter Play, OUR TOWN. Tickets are $10 Adults; $8 Students/Seniors and will be available at the door for both performances.

Tomorrow evening the Parkland Education Foundation is partnering with the Elementary PTOs to host the Harlem Wizards against the Parkland All Star basketball team at 7 PM in the PHS Gym. Doors open at 6 PM. General Admission tickets are available at the door for $12 for both adults and students.

Next meeting: February 16th, 2016 at 7 PM (workshop), 8 PM (business meeting).

School Board Recognition Night was postponed to February 23rd due to the snowstorm.
