Hello Fronteras Families!
THANK YOU Mr. Sides, Mrs. Brooks, Mr. & Mrs. DeLoach, & Mr. Van Sandt for your help with our Music risers! You were so quick to help, I missed thanking you in person! We have such AMAZING families!
Thank you to everyone who helped make our annual Friendship Feast a major success once again! Our school smelled delicious all day and we LOVED seeing our students, families, guests, and staff enjoy a meal together! We know many of you put a lot of hours in to providing turkeys, hams, and side dishes in addition to setting up and cleaning. Please know that ALL of that support and generosity is GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you to Mrs. Taylor, Mr. Schweisthal, Mr. Harper, Mrs. Godbold, Mrs. Carpenter, and Mr. Sides for speaking at last Wednesday’s school board meeting! The district already has a safety measure in place. We are very grateful to Dr. Goyette, her leadership team, and the MSBSD School Board members for their support and quick response!
I send everyone off to a long weekend with the lyrics of my favorite song, “Thankful” by Josh Groban. I still recommend listening to Josh sing it – it truly is beautiful!
Somedays, we forget to look around us,
Somedays, we can't see the joy that surrounds us,
So caught up inside ourselves,
We take when we should give,
So for tonight we pray for,
What we know can be,
And on this day we hope for,
What we still can't see,
It's up to us, to be the change,
And even though we all can still do more,
There's so much to be thankful for,
Look beyond ourselves,
There's so much sorrow,
It's way too late to say, I'll cry tomorrow
Each of us must find our truth,
It's so long overdue,
So for tonight we pray for,
What we know can be,
And everyday, we hope for,
What we still can't see,
It's up to us, to be the change,
And even though we all can still do more,
There's so much to be thankful for,
Even with our differences,
There is a place we're all connected,
Each of us can find each others light,
So for tonight, we pray for
What we know can be,
And on this day, we hope for,
What we still can't see,
It's up to us, to be the change,
And even though this world needs so much more
There's so much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!
Wishing everyone a wonderful long weekend!
Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Hutchins
Stand For Safety!
Our voices were heard! STAND FOR SAFETY was positively received.
Thank you for those who were able to be present at the School Board Meeting.
We need to express our needs in writing to AK DOT.
They want us to share our concerns.
They are ready to hear us.
This testimony really matters.

A Word From Our Student Ambassadors!
Hello Fronteras Students and Families,
I attended our second Student Advisory Board meeting along with our middle school student body President, Gwyn Burningham. At the meeting, we discussed a district-wide spirit week which we will share more about later. If you or your student has any ideas for the spirit week, please put them in our suggestion box. There are few other ideas in the works that we will share as they are developed. As most of you probably know, we are doing a Toys for Tots drive that will end on December 17th. Thank you to the families who have already dropped off a new item.
We hope you enjoy the long weekend.
Sincerely,
Kaija Backus
