Two Mile Tidbits
September 8th
Last week, I shared some suggestions/prompts to ask your child about his/her school day. This week, try asking him/her "how have you demonstrated being Prairie PROUD this week?" (persevere, respectful, open-minded, uplifting, dependable).
If you want some cool TMP swag, don't forget to order from the PTA spirit store. The link is below and the last day to order has been extended to the 15th!
Friendly reminder there is no school on the 13th!
Have a great weekend!
Prairie Proud,
Amanda Ruyle

Questions to ask your child...
As we dive in to our school year, Here are some helpful prompts to ask your child about his/her school day besides "how was school today?"
- Tell me about a moment today when you felt excited about what you were learning.
- Think about what you learned and did in school today. What’s something you’d like to know more about?
- What’s a question you have that came from your learning today?
- Were there any moments today when you felt proud of yourself?
- Tell me about a conversation you had with a classmate or friend that you enjoyed.
- What was challenging about your day?
- What do you appreciate about your day?
- What did you learn about yourself today?
- Is there anything that you’d like to talk about that I might be able to help you figure out?
- What are you looking forward to tomorrow?
If you would like to learn more about your child's school day, we also have our Prairie Dog Pride Night (open house/curriculum night) on September 19th from 5-6:30pm. More info to come!
