High School Lock-In
Winter Lock In
This event is for High School Youth and friends! Come if you have been here often and come if you haven't been in a long time! All are welcome!
We'll gather on Friday, December 11 and be "locked in" until the morning of Saturday, December 12.
We'll be focused on Christmas with a lesson or two, games, movies, and, of course, food!
We're changing things up and having TACOS! Bring your favorite taco topping OR a snack/dessert to share!
High School Lock In
Friday, Dec. 11th, 7pm-9am
30 East Baltimore Avenue
Pick up will be between 8:00 and 9:00 AM on Saturday morning.
Please let Liz know if you plan on attending! We need to make sure we plan for enough food and supplies for activities. Click on the red button at the bottom of this newsletter to sign up!
What to Bring
- ** MPC Youth Permission and Release Forms **
You only need to turn this in if you have not participated with the Youth Group yet this year - this includes any guests. We MUST have one from everyone!
- Any required medicine/inhalers/etc
Please make sure you bring any or all medicine you may need for an overnight event!
- Sleeping bag or blankets and a pillow
Air mattresses are optional, but may be a good alternative to the floor!
- Pajamas or comfortable lounge clothing
We're going to watch movies and play some games, so make sure you've got comfortable clothing!
- Overnight toiletries
We will NOT be showering at the church, nor do we have access to a shower.
- White Elephant Gift
See below for more details!
- Your favorite Christmas cookies, dessert, or snack to share OR a topping for tacos!
We are changing things up and building our own tacos for dinner! Bring your favorite taco topping or Christmas dessert to share! The more snacks, the better!
- Any ideas for Christmas movies or games
We have ALL NIGHT to play games and watch movies, so if you have any suggestions bring them along!
Ugly Christmas Sweaters are encouraged, but not required.
White Elephant Gift Exchange
- Everyone brings a wrapped gift to the Lock-In
These gifts are usually funny, brought from home (think re-gifting!), or inexpensive (less than $10!) Wrap them up so no one can guess what kind of gift they're getting
- We'll gather together and take turns picking gifts
You'll get rid of one goofy present and end up with another!
