December 2015 Newsletter

President's Message

Happy December, Everyone! With all the craziness of the world right now, I try and focus on the good in it. One of the good things is this group and all of you! To me, this season is about HOPE. Hope for a brighter future for our kiddos. I am hopeful of their futures when I see all the positive things we all do together. Some of us are experiencing the holidays with kids for the first time while others have their holiday traditions firmly planted. Either way, enjoy it all! I wish all of you and your families a hopeful and joyous holiday season. Our calendar is full of wonderful opportunities to share this month together. And 2016 looks promising for our group with more members, new activities, and lots of fun to be had. Enjoy!

Here is a sample of the many events this month:

--Are you around the weeks of 12/20 and 12/27? We have NOTHING on the calendar for those weeks (as of the newsletter publication date), but we still have kids to entertain. While fewer people may be able to attend, it would still be fun to do a meetup! Plan something and add it to our calendar!

Member Spotlight-Amanda Chavez

Here is what Amanda had to say about herself:

I grew up in Garden Grove which is about 15 minutes away from Disneyland. I got my B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA. I worked for about 10 years as a transportation engineer and decided to quit this past April to become a stay at home mom. My husband Paul and I have been married for 6 years. We’ve been blessed with two beautiful children: Troy, age 3 1/2, and Eliana, 17 months old. In my spare time, I enjoy eating good food, watching pretty much any type of sports, photography, hiking, playing badminton, and going to the spa. I look forward to serving the members of Moms Club this year.

November in Photos

A reminder to post your photos in Meetup so that we can add them to the newsletter, and we can all see what you have been up to if we miss an event! We tried to represent all of the kids that were in the photos, but apologies if anyone was missed that was attendance at an event.
