The genocide took place in the context of the Rwandan Civil War, an ongoing conflict beginning in 1990 between the Hutu-led government and the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), which was largely composed of Tutsi refugees whose families had fled to Uganda following earlier waves of Hutu violence against the Tutsi.

About Them
The Hutus and Tutsi community was invaded by the Europeans than it was the Burundi, they basically took over the Rwanda. Hutus and Tutsis had the same language; the same religion; the same culture. But everything started to change.

What Happen During The Rwanda Genocide
In the weeks after April 6, 1994, 800,000 men, women, and children perished in the Rwandan genocide, perhaps as many as three quarters of the Tutsi population. At the same time, thousands of Hutu were murdered because they opposed the killing campaign and the forces directing it.

Why Did this Happen
The Hutus where forced to killed the Tutsi neighbors. Both groups the Tusis and Hutus those two groups use to get along. Both group suffer at this time. Because they use to be neighbors they knew each other and now they are forcing the Hutus to go and kill them. They use to treat the Tutsis as a high class people. While the Hutus were in the low class.They were basically the same they spoke the same language,inhabited the same ares and followed the same traditions. However, Tutsi were often taller and thinner than the Hutus.
