HOLIDAY EDITION
Let me start by saying THANK YOU
Thanks to all who helped with our Gingerbread houses, both funding and helping to make the houses. A special thanks to those of you who took time out of your busy schedules to come help with our holiday crafts (and I can't say much more.... but you will see what I mean on Christmas morning ). Also, thank you to those who couldn't come in but sent your love and support. Our class loves and appreciates all of the help we have received!
Meet Chip the Elf
Lucky for us, two lovely students took the initiative to write to Santa asking for an elf on the shelf for our classroom. Lo and behold, the next day we had a silly little guy show up to watch our kiddos. The best part about Chip... he came wearing an ugly Christmas sweater!
He came in like a wrecking ball....
Keeping tabs on the PBIS tickets.
Busted: Chip caught mid-climb.
He's a climber.
Chip had to visit the dark side.
Someone got a little cozy on the reading rug!
Chip wanted a shot in our competition.
I hope everyone was behaving at recess.
4th Grade GINGERBREAD COMPETITION
4th Grade Gingerbread Winner: Brennan
Congratulations to our very own Brennan! She not only won our class competition but tied for FIRST place in the overall 4th grade competition!
Things got ugly in Room 112!
I like to think that we have a pretty good lookin' class. I mean really... these kids are practically models. But good grief did these guys get tacky on Friday! What a creative bunch! The ugly sweaters were very impressive.
The Winners:
Tackiest: Rylan and runner-up Paige
Most Creative: Jake Sh.
Tracking our Christmas Trees
A former 4th grade teacher from MIS has a Christmas Tree Farm in her family. In studying NC and how tree farming is a big business, we had the students fill out tree tags. When they are done they are brought to the farm, and attached to trees that are shipped out all over the US. When families purchase their trees, they find the tags and email/mail the students. We have received one email and photo from a family in Port St. Lucie, Florida who got a tree with Katelyn's tag on it.
The Grinch
Some of our classmates participated in The Grinch! It was an outstanding play presented by the MIS School Bobcat Chorus. These talented kids represented Team Richardson well, way to go guys!
Thanks to Mrs. Thoennes for uploading the play for all to see!
