Principal's Update for Students
11/02/2020
Dear Mustangs,
I had my first Principal Town Hall last week and one suggestion was that students would like more communication from the school on what is going on. So I have decided to create a newsletter just for all of you. It will include anything that the staff sends me that they want for you all to know plus additional school business. I hope you all are staying safe and healthy.

Checking out Library Books
We'd love to see you in the library to get new books, but for now, we are checking books out through a hold system at https://destiny.adams12.org. Check out the video below for directions.
While we are fully remote, we can still check books out to you. Mrs. LaRue will go in on Wednesdays to pull books, email students when they are ready to pick up, and hold them in the office for you to pick up. Office hours are 7:15-3:45 daily while we are remote. If you are interested in ebooks and audiobooks, see all of your options here, and email Mrs. LaRue with any questions. If you need a public library card, she's also working with Anythink to get those to you-fill out this form if you need one!

Attendance Update
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays teachers will record attendance in Infinite Campus during each scheduled class period within the first 15 minutes. Students are considered to be ‘present’ if they are logged into the virtual classroom (Google Meet or Zoom) as scheduled by the teacher.
On Wednesdays, attendance will be automatically recorded in Infinite Campus if the student actively engages with content in Schoology (e.g. views, edits, creates, etc.) at any time during that instructional day. Students are considered to be ‘present’ if they have a unique Schoology engagement recorded on that specific asynchronous instructional day. Any single engagement within Schoology will count as a full-day of attendance. Students do not need to complete an engagement in Schoology separately for each class period for attendance purposes, but it is expected that students will access their asynchronous instruction and assignments for each course in Schoology. Attendance will not be visible in Infinite Campus until the following day, as students will have until 11:59 PM to complete Schoology assignments for that day. An ‘unverified absence’ will be automatically recorded in Infinite Campus for those students who do not actively engage with content within Schoology on a Wednesday asynchronous instructional day.
