Engineering Adventure #1 : Problem in the Swamp
Building Towers to Keep Animals Safe!
Problem:
Students have to keep swamp animals safe from being eaten by alligators.
Solution:
Build a tower which is at least 10 inches tall which will withstand the weight of Froggy.

Engineering Adventure # 2: Building a Wheel & Axle
Engineering a Wheel & Axle !
Students will need to use the materials provided to engineer a wheel and axle. All students tested their wheel and axle creations on our ramp!

Students had the opportunity to sort through the many items/materials collected into our different sections of the Classroom Scrap Yard.
Students were able to sort recycled materials into 4 categories:

Engineering Recycled Racers
Student engineered their 1st version of a recycled racer. Students had to design their wheel and axle from materials in our scrap yard. They also had to select the material they would use for their racer body!
Engineering the Track
Students had to engineer a track for our big recycled racer rally on Thursday, July 28th!
They used various materials to make the track smooth/bumpy.
